Music Mba
How useful would an MBA degree be in my case?
I have a diploma in Journalism, have worked in newspaper production for one year and now am working as a business writer. Till now it had been an interesting ride but I get the feeling that I am not making the best use of my capabilities.
The problem is compounded by the fact that I have multiple interests – painting, music, crafts, counselling. Secondly, I am not sure whether I have aptitude for business.
Will an MBA help me? Where will it take me? If I do take up an MBA, what kind should I pursue?
PS: I did not pursue hardcore journalism because it doesn’t pay much, especially the print media. And I really need to be on my own and support my family.
It can help you if you want to start your own company. If you want to pursue an MBA, go for management or finance. That MBA degree could help you get a better position at a newspaper or something.
You will have to take the GMAT if you want to go for an MBA though. Also consider going to grad school for journalism. I think that would help even more than an MBA.
