Where are some places in Austin Texas for the New Age types? Shops, food, and venues? Ty!?

Shops such as Herbal Stores, health food, food such as cafes and music venues? Ty!

Well that is interesting since the entire city is populated with New Age types.

But to answer your question:

* The Farmer’s Markets — One is on Wednesday evenings at the Triangle on Lamar and 45th and on Saturday mornings across from Republic Square Park. The other one is on Saturdays at that stadium looking thing off of Ben White near Brodie Lane. They all have live music also.

* Kerbey Lane is one of the infamous vegan restaurants. There is the original one, one on Guadalupe near the campus, and one on 183 near the McNeil exit.

* The Drag on Guadalupe. I’m not sure what their hours are. This is the place across from the UT campus with all the tents. I believe they are operational during the weekends.

* Wheatsville Coop — also on Guadalupe. I guess they are all centered on Guadalupe. Heh.

* Whole Foods and Central Market. I prefer Central Market because they are owned by HEB, and therefore are more likely to carry local products.

* The Omelettery on Burnet near North Loop. Clientele is very New Age-y. I guess if you can’t stick to veganism but don’t want to eat cows it’s a good choice.

* Just about any independent bookstore, head shop, record store, etc.
