what is the name of the church songs?

I am kind of embarrassed because I don’t know this, but what is the name of the songs of the church singing. but i don’t mean regular church songs, but simply the ones where they use their voices to create beautiful tones, without the words (except maybe latin words, like when you go to the church). you know what i mean, right? no words, just that singing, when the priests in the church make their own band with their mouth (main and background music).
