What are the best songs of 2009?
Alright. 2009 has been a pretty good year for great songs…It seems like the return of European dance music…Urban pop is a thing of 2008…So I wanna know, which in your own opinion, are the best songs of 2009. Here are mine:
Lady Gaga “Poker Face”
Madonna “Celebration” (Benny Benassi remix)
David Guetta “Sexy Bitch”/”When Love Takes Over”
La Roux “Bulletproof”
Beyonce “Single Ladies”
Flo Rida “Right Round”
Owl City “Fireflies”
Miley Cyrus “Party In The USA”
Taylor Swift “You Belong With Me”
…Sorry this list is a little lame if you are a guy, but these songs are the only mainstream songs that really stood out this year. Europe, Latin America, Japan, North America…I think these songs transcended nations. Let me know what you think.
…Besides those, I can’t really think of any great songs from 2009…Help me out!
deffs agree with: poker face, sexy b****, when love takes over (separate), bulletproof, right round + you belong with me.
my adds would be:
black eyed peas > i gotta feeling
britney > 3, if you seek amy + circus
fergie > meet me halfway
keri hilson > knock you down
also v. much in love with (although doesn’t fit your genre) josh golden, josh pyke, the script, regina spektor, kate miller-heidke, james morrison, imogen heap, all-american rejects, and a whole heap of foreign singers:)

J to tha L-O! The Remixes $2.95 Unlike most single-artist remix albums, J to tha L-O! actually has a purpose beyond raking in cash from fans. The best of these cuts brings much-needed weight to the often-weak writing, vocals, and production that mar Jennifer Lopez’s two previous multiplatinum albums. The prize, of course, is her duet with Ja Rule on “I’m Real,” but the other highlights (a Rodney Jerkins reworking of his own “If … |
