Have you experienced the KFC syndrome?

It’s the new thing in India. At KFC’s, MAC’s, Domino’s, music stores, phone helplines there are these young kids. They say, ‘yes sir, yes ma’am’ and are polite. But you ask them some info and they are blank.
At a music store I asked about an album Chicane Behind the Sun. The kid goes, you mean Shekanay, its Latin you know.
Then I was about WAP in my mobile. A kid says some rubbish, wasted my time, and asks me if I had what I wanted. Afterwards I figured it out on my own.

If a person is knowledgeable and conscientious (and possesses even a smidgen of etiquette), low pay won’t inhibit good service.
I’ve worked for paltry wages, it doesn’t make me suddenly lazy or careless.
