Early Music Illustrations

looking for a new piano book?
I’ve been playing piano since I was around 7 years old. I’m 14 now, but I’ve quit here and there a bunch of times. I’m a level four now (late begginner, early intermediate) and I’m looking for a book to play. ever since I started learning piano, I’ve used Bastien Piano Basics. But I’m starting to grow sick of it, both the music and the illustrations, and I’m looking for something a bit more age-appropriate. Have any suggestions?
Here’s a few sites where you can find enough legal, public domain music to keep you busy for years. Hope that helps.
If you are looking to buy a book on the other hand, Amsco has several books filled with piano classics and it is bound so that it lies flat. You can also get the Shirmer series that features a different classical composer for each book. (in most of them anyway)

Of course, the more you read through them, the more you will realize that most of the songs in these collections are actually in the public domain and are contained on the sites I listed below. Sometimes it is handy to have it in a book however, and when you get right down to it, sometimes buying the book is actually less expensive than printing all of that music out yourself.
